Timbuktu, in northern Mali, is a UNESCO world heritage site, valued for scholarly manuscripts that are up to 800 years old. The Globe and Mail's Africa bureau chief Geoffrey York joins Hannah Sung to discuss the value of these manuscripts and whether or not they have been destroyed by Islamist radicals.
