Is the CBC a Liberal propaganda outlet? Add to ...

The CBC is under attack. Conservative Party officials and spin doctors are accusing it of displaying a Liberal bias, singling out recent comments by pollster Frank Graves as an example. The Liberals have fired back with accusations of a Tory witch hunt and the CBC's editor-in-chief is defending the network as "politically neutral" and "scrupulously fair" in the way in which it gathers and reports news.

The context for this is a wider-ranging culture war like the one that's raged in the United States for years. Globe television critic John Doyle says Canadian conservatives are winning because the other side has wimps for commentators.

What do you think? Mr. Doyle and senior political writer Jane Taber took your questions in an online discussion Friday.
