The battle for Brampton, Ont., goes another round Tuesday night, as Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff arrives for a rally at the Canadian Auto Works Hall. Brampton and Mississauga are considered to be home to some of the tightest battles in the country between the Conservatives and the Liberals.
Earlier in the day, Mr. Ignatieff will speak to reporters in Winnipeg, for an announcement related to the flooding in the province. He also has a sit down interview scheduled with the CBC's Peter Mansbridge.
NDP Leader Jack Layton starts the day with an interview in Toronto with CTV. He then heads to Welland, Ont., in the Niagara Peninsula where incumbent New Democrat Malcolm Allen is fighting a tough battle against the Conservatives.
Conservative Leader Stephen Harper begins the day in Thunder Bay, Ont., - NDP country - and finishes it with a rally in Val d'Or, Que., which takes in the Bloc Québécois riding of Abitibi-Temiscamingue, northeast of Ottawa.
Bloc Québécois Leader Gilles Duceppe spends the day in Montreal and Laval.
Green Party Leader Elizabeth May campaigns in Calgary with her deputy leader, former Montreal Canadiens forward Georges Laraque.
