If you had asked me a month ago who the most impressive Conservative Minister is, I wouldn't have paused for a second - I would have said Lisa Raitt.

That was then, as they say.

Her handling of the Isotope crisis has been weak, at best.

Leaving behind confidential cabinet documents at CTV (and whether it was her or her staff is irrelevant) is inexcusable. Stephen Harper and Maxime Bernier set the proper precedent when he resigned from cabinet for a nearly identical offence.

While I am no fan of the incessant calls for ministers to resign over the smallest of mistakes, I'm not sure Minister Raitt has any choice but to resign or to be pushed aside.
