Toronto police say four people were stabbed in the west-end Parkdale neighbourhood early Thursday morning.

The first call came in around 1:25 a.m. (at Queen St. and Dowling Ave.) where police found a man and woman had been stabbed.

Ambulance officials say both are in hospital with serious injuries.

A little more than an hour later and about two blocks away, police found two men suffering from slash wounds.

Both were taken to hospital and are expected to recover.

Police have not indicated if the two incidents are linked.
