Hamilton police arrest seven people after shots fired at elementary school

Police say seven people are under arrest after officers responded to a call of shots being fired at a Hamilton elementary school.

Police say St. Joseph's Catholic Elementary School was immediately put into lockdown late Wednesday morning but the lockdown was lifted a short time later.

Investigators say a number of pellet rifles and pellet guns were seized.

No students or staff were injured.

Detectives continue to investigate.
