A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for LaPrincia Palmer, who is being sought by police in the murder of rapper Anthony Spencer.

Toronto police have arrested a woman they say played a role in the fatal shooting of a local aspiring rapper at a recording studio last winter.

Police say LaPrincia Palmer, 19, of Mississauga – who was sought under a Canada-wide warrant – turned herself in around 1:30 a.m. this morning. She is charged with robbery with a firearm and attempting to obstruct justice, and is scheduled to appear in court today.

Police allege she was involved in a robbery that led to the slaying of Anthony Spencer, 23. Spencer was shot dead early on the morning of Jan. 21 at a basement studio in the city's east end.

Two men have already been charged in the killing. Samuel Paul, 23, faces 11 counts, including first-degree murder, armed robbery and unlawful possession of a firearm. Twenty-two-year-old Chever Ashley has also been charged with 11 offences including armed robbery, accessory after the fact to murder and firearms possession.

The pair were already in custody for firearms-related offences when charged in the murder investigation.
