Several blocks in Toronto's financial district have reopened after they were sealed off by police because of a report of a suspicious package.

Police say the package was spotted around 7:30 p.m. near King and Yonge streets and a broad area was closed off to vehicles and pedestrians until about 11 p.m.

Investigators had said they didn't feel it necessary to evacuate the area.
