Toronto man dies after weekend shooting in downtown Add to ...

A Toronto man seriously wounded in a downtown shooting early Sunday has died, pushing the city’s homicide total for the year to 48.

Qoheleth Chong, 23, was shot in the neck shortly before 1 a.m. as he walked near College and Lippincott streets.

No arrests have been made.

Two men were spotted fleeing the scene, police said, and detectives are anxious to interview anyone with information.

They should contact the homicide squad directly at (416) 585-7400, or leave a tip via Crime Stoppers.
