Toronto police are looking for a suspect after an alleged sexual assault on the York University campus in the city's northwest end.

Police say a woman was walking on the campus early Wednesday morning when she noticed a man on a bicycle following her.

They say the man tried to engage the woman in conversation but she refused and tried to enter a building on the campus.

Police say the man sexually assaulted the woman and then fled on his bike.

The suspect is described as a young black man, 18 to 21 years old, about five feet six inches tall with a skinny build, wearing a black toque and dark clothing, including a worn, thin winter jacket.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
