Woman rushed to hospital after being trapped under TTC streetcar for 20 minutes

A 19-year-old girl was rushed to hospital after being trapped under a streetcar for 20 minutes.

Toronto police say the pedestrian was struck by a streetcar on St. Clair Avenue near Yonge Street on Wednesday around noon.

EMS said she had serious injuries, but was stable as they took her to a hospital.

St. Clair Avenue was closed between Yonge Street and Deer Park Crescent, but TTC service has now resumed.
