Ernie (Erminia) Johannson is appointed Group Head, U.S. Personal and Business Banking. In this role, Ms. Johannson will be accountable for growing the customer base, maintaining customer loyalty and maximizing the value of BMO's digital investments. She will also be responsible for North American Retail Payments, focusing on accelerating the growth and profitability of the business. As well, she serves on BMO Financial Group's Executive Committee.
In her most recent role, Ms. Johannson served as Head, North American Retail Credit and Chief Risk Officer, Canadian Personal & Commercial Banking and Wealth Management. She spent the prior years as Head Personal Banking and North American Payments, providing leadership to strengthen BMO's business and customer experience objectives.
Prior to joining BMO, Ms. Johannson was Executive Vice-President, Customer Strategy and Integration with Fidelity Investments in Boston. She has served on several boards in her career and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Payments Canada and Moneris Solutions Corporation.
