Jill Wyatt, Chair of the Board of Governors

Elizabeth Cannon, President of the University of Calgary, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jill Wyatt, Chair of the Board of Governors.

The Government of Alberta has appointed Jill Wyatt, educator and senior leader in the public and not-for-profit sectors as chair of the University of Calgary's Board of Governors.

Wyatt, an alumna of the university (DipEd'71), was appointed to the Board of Governors in 2016.

She has worked extensively with the community, serving on the Board of the YWCA of Calgary, and as a Senator at the University of Calgary for two terms. Wyatt is a former educator and high school principal, former CEO of the YWCA of Calgary and former VP, Community Investments and Collaborations with United Way of Calgary and Area. Wyatt is bilingual and also holds a Bachelor of Arts and master's degree in French.

The appointment is for a three-year term.
