Mike Pedersen, Chair of the Board of Directors, Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC)
The Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) is proud to announce the appointment of Mike Pedersen as Chair of the Board of Directors.
Mr. Pedersen has three decades of experience in the banking industry. Most recently, he was President and CEO of TD Bank Group's U.S. retail and commercial banking business. Before this, he had long and successful tenures in senior leadership roles at Barclays and CIBC.
An experienced board director, Mr. Pedersen has served on over 20 boards in the private, public and non-profit sectors. He served as Chair of the Canadian Bankers Association in 2000-2001, and has acted as an advisor to various governments. He presently sits on the boards of CGI Group Inc., Imagine Canada and The Nature Conservancy of Canada.
Mr. Pedersen holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia and a Master of Industrial Relations from the University of Toronto.
