Election campaign in Manitoba is officially underway
Manitoba's provincial election campaign officially kicked off Monday. Progressive Conservative Leader Brian Pallister visited the lieutenant-governor to start a 29-day campaign ending with a vote on Sept. 10. Pallister's PCs will focus the campaign on "trust and taxes," the New Democrats are raising health care as the main issue and the Manitoba Liberals say they want to talk about many things including income inequality and Lake Winnipeg.
