Freeland says federal budget will be tabled April 19

Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland says the federal government will present its first full budget in two years on April 19. Plans for a budget last year were shelved as the COVID-19 pandemic threw plans into disarray. This will be Freeland's first budget after she took over from Bill Morneau last summer.
