Voters in Prince Edward Island are trading in 12 years of Liberal rule for a Progressive Conservative minority government. The Tories under new leader Dennis King won 12 districts in yesterday’s election, while the upstart Green party won a record eight seats to become Official Opposition for the first time ever. King admits he is overwhelmed by his party’s victory. Green Leader Peter Bevan-Baker says the results are a sign of hope for the province.
