The following Monday, there were four bids and a proposal $127,000 over the asking price.

THE AGENT’S TAKE: “There is presently a welcome resurgence of the Vancouver market for affordable housing,” says agent Marty Pospischil, who confirms that this over $1-million property is considered a reasonable price on the Westside.

“I have personally noticed a 50 per cent increase in activity and offers on attached townhomes and half duplexes in our market area.”

The promise of little repair to this house and lots of outdoor space really catered to local buyers. “This particular home was perfect for a young family with one or less children wanting to be close to the water and beaches,” adds Mr. Pospischil.
