LISTING AGENT Andrea Morrison, Royal LePage Real Estate Services Ltd.

The Action: On a short street in the Lambton-Baby Point community, this semi-detached dwelling was lightly staged and then opened to public viewing and private showings. On the evening offers were reviewed, one bidder went in at full asking price.

What They Got: This more than 60-year-old brick house was recently given a fresh look with new windows, two remodelled bathrooms, updated carpeting in the lower level recreation room and hardwood floors in the main floor living and dining areas and three bedrooms upstairs.

The remodelled U-shaped kitchen features ceramic floors and backsplashes, sliding doors to a deck, an enclosed south-facing yard and a garage off a private drive on the 27-by-120-foot lot.

The Agent's Take: "It's a great starter [home] on a quiet street in a family neighbourhood," says agent Andrea Morrison. "It was beautifully presented and renovated."

The modern layout was also as impressive as the finishes. "The kitchen, living and dining room were all open, which was really nice," Ms. Morrison adds. "It had a nicely finished basement with good height and an extra bathroom, which was really lovely."
