The Action: At the southeast end of Calgary, an out-of-town owner spent about half a year selling this two-storey townhouse in competition with similar, but newer product built nearby.

For better results, a local agent relisted it at the same price, but had it professionally presented and promoted to attract foreign buyers. After two showings, a $310,000 deal was signed off on in early June.

The Agent's Take: "It faced a courtyard, which was appealing to buyers … and it's a really nice townhouse complex," says agent Steven Hill. "[Plus] it was move-in ready, in excellent condition."
