LISTING AGENTS Jill Stewart and Robert LePage, Royal LePage Real Estate Services Ltd.

The Action: This detached house was one of the only properties posted for sale in the New Toronto waterfront community during the late winter season. So the sellers had a choice of four offers shortly after a couple dozen showings were concluded.

What They Got: On a residential street running north of the lake, this two-storey house sits on a 25-by-113-foot lot with a mutual driveway and detached garage.

Behind the brick façade is a traditional layout with hardwood floors in all three bedrooms, a formal living room with a wood-burning fireplace and a dining room with plate rails.

Updates were made to the mechanics and kitchen, which has access to a deck and refinished basement with a carpeted den and recreation room with above grade windows, pot lights and a second full bathroom.

The Agent's Take: "It had the feeling of a Bloor West Village home and it showed really nicely," agent Jill Stewart states. "[The sellers] had the basement renovated a few years ago and that really added a lot of space to the home." But once outside, there was no mistaking this property's pastoral location. "It's a stone's throw from the lake. You could see the lake from the front porch," adds Ms. Stewart. "It's a quiet street, very friendly and family-oriented with good schools."
