LISTING AND CO-OP AGENT Anne Adams, Toronto West Realty Inc.

The Action: This five-bedroom property in Lorne Park opened its doors to about 30 buyers granted private showings and a group of realtors invited to an agents-only open house. Offers would be reviewed at any time, so local business owners hoping to reside in the area immediately presented a bid.

What They Got: In 1969, this 5,740-square-foot residence was custom built by the sellers on a 105-by-121-foot lot, complete with a double garage and an indoor pool with multiple skylights, windows and sliding doors to the south-facing backyard.

The main section of this centre-hall residence has a foyer between the living room and a dining area with beamed ceilings and a stone, wood-burning fireplace. Across the rear there is a den, a family room and an eat-in kitchen outfitted with a granite-topped island and a rear walkout.

Crown mouldings and hardwood floors appear in several bedrooms upstairs, including a master suite with entry to one of four bathrooms and a secondary bedroom that could be used as an office as it has stairs to a separate front entrance.

The 1,700-square-foot basement contains a sauna, games room and fireside recreation area with a wet bar.

Within a five-minute drive of the property, there is a golf course, waterfront parks and Port Credit's entertainment and food districts, as well as a marina, GO Train station and QEW.

The Agent's Take: "It had a very nice floor plan and it was very spacious," says agent Anne Adams. "A lot of the homes have pools, but not necessarily an indoor pool, which was a very nice feature."

The outdoor setting is also a highlight. "It was treed at the back and there were trees around the perimeter, so it was nice to give privacy," says Ms. Adams. "It's a beautiful street and the homes on the other side back onto the Credit River."
