The Action: This semi-detached house near High Park was priced under $700,000 based on comparable sales in late fall of last year. But nearly a dozen buyers proposed to pay a premium based on the high turnout within the week, including over 70 showings with agents and an open house with 120 visitors.

The Agent's Take: "This street is very unique and I haven't seen many homes incorporated into a condo complex like this one," agent Michael Inwood said. "It's a huge benefit because they get to use all the facilities – a pool, tennis court and gym – as well as get basic cable for a small fee." This property also made families feel at home right away. "They did a magnificent reno that was done for themselves so they used all top finishes and clearly they had wonderful taste as it attracted a huge crowd of buyers," Mr. Inwood states. "The street itself is like a small community. I recall one of the days after we sold the home the street was having its annual street party and the all the residents shut the street down for the whole day. [Plus] they always have kids who playing street hockey. You don't see many streets like that."
