What does a two-bedroom condo look like - and sell for - in Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto? We visit four, ranging from $275,000 to $2.6-million
Toronto: 771 square feet, sold for $370,000. This two-bedroom, one-bath condo in Toronto’s Liberty Village is in the midrange of the Toronto market – it sold near August’s average sale price for a condo in the city
Located on the 18th floor of a highrise building named Battery Park, which was completed last year, it was being rented to a young family.
The unit included a few upgrades, including granite countertops, plus a parking space and locker. It was sold by agent Heikki Walden of Sutton Group.
Calgary: 800 square feet, sold for $274,900. The unit is in a 1970s lowrise building in the Beltline that has only 16 units.
This condo has a house-like two-storey layout.
It also has a wraparound patio off the living room. It was sold by Dennis Plintz of Sotheby’s International Realty Calgary.
Vancouver: 2,270 square feet, sold for $2.6-million. This high-end unit in the Three Harbour Green building sold just below its asking price.
That price buys some high-quality interior finishes (and, within the basement parking area, a private two-car garage).
The large footprint of the unit makes for spacious rooms.
The apartment also includes three bathrooms and this private terrace. It was sold by Gregg Baker of Sotheby's International Realty.
Vancouver: 1,078 square feet, sold for $655,000. This two-storey unit is in an unusual building in Point Grey, designed by local architects Lang Wilson.
The two-storey interior opens onto a large slot-shaped courtyard that cuts into the middle of the building.
The unit was sold by Paul Albrighton of Macdonald Realty Ltd.
