LISTING AGENT Nutan Brown, Royal LePage West Realty Group Ltd.

The Action: The manicured fairways of Markland Wood Golf Club lie just behind this two-storey house, which had more than 120 visitors, including curious neighbours, file through during a weekend open house.

What They Got: In 1971, a 58-by-155-foot lot provided the base for this Tudor-style residence, custom built with more than 4,000 square feet of living space with access to the secluded backyard and pool from a rear dining area, eat-in kitchen and fireside family room.

Additional public quarters include a den and fireside living room on the main floor, which also has a laundry room with access into a double garage, and a lower-level games room and fireside recreation room.

At the top of a winding staircase is the largest of four bedrooms, complete with a fireplace, Juliet balcony, wide terrace, dressing room with a built-in vanity and the largest of five bathrooms.

The Agent’s Take: “The way it’s situated on the cul-de-sac and golf course is quite spectacular,” says agent Nutan Brown. “Every room at the rear has double French doors with a walkout, so there’s lots of access to the outdoors.”

The sheer size and style of this home also made it a recognized landmark. “It was a signature property in the area,” Ms. Brown notes. “It’s an English Tudor-style home which … stood out as different and special.”
