Highland Creek Village, a project of townhouses and detached homes in Scarborough, will have the benefit of being located in an established neighbourhood -- near parks, schools, recreation centres. Yet it will back on to the protected, wooded area of Centennial Creek.

The project, built by Stone Manor Developments, consists of 68 townhouses and six detached homes with brick and stone exteriors, French balconies and basement walkouts. Inside features include well-appointed gourmet kitchens, imported ceramic tiles and spacious family rooms with an optional gas fireplace.

A special bonus includes three stainless-steel kitchen appliances, washer, dryer and strip flooring in the living and dining room, or $5,000 cash back on closing.

The condo townhouses start at $274,990, range from 1,439 to 1,890 square feet and have a single-car garage. The freehold townhouses start at $299,990, range from 1,521 to 1,826 square feet and have a double garage.

The detached homes are priced at $409,990 to $440,990, with sizes ranging from 2,054 to 2,621 square feet. There are about 10 different plans.

There is public transit within walking distance of the project, and it's a five-minute drive to the GO Train and two minutes to Highway 401.

Closing dates will range from April to August, 2006.
