The Action: On a short street off Park Lawn Road, this two-bedroom bungalow had two dozen shoppers sign up for showings and a steady stream of house hunters file through in open house tours. The house was intentionally priced to sell fast, so eight buyers put their best foot forward on the offer presentation date.

What They Got: This more than 60-year-old bungalow took on a fresh new appearance after the previous owner landscaped the 40- by 119-foot lot, repaved the driveway to the attached garage and refinished the hardwood floors, among other things.

The Agent's Take: "It had beautiful curb appeal. The seller recently spent a lot on landscaping and had the face of the house re-stuccoed," says agent Jill Stewart. "At the rear of the property, a four-season solarium was added to it, so it had a really pleasant back room."

Furthermore, the property was not only picturesque, but private. "It was also on a quiet court, so it's a child-safe location with low traffic," Ms. Stewart notes.
