LISTING AGENT Christina Miller, Christina Miller Real Estate Group

The Action: There were eight visitors in all and one open house day, real estate agent Christina Miller says. Interest in the property resulted in a "multiple-bid situation, with two offers." It's an ideal home for a small family, but the buyer ended up being a single person, Ms. Miller says. The seller was an artist from New York who renovated the house about 10 years ago and "gave it a New York townhouse look."

What They Got: This three-bedroom-and-den townhouse in Westmount is part of a row of homes boasting distinctive sandstone fronts, a departure from the greystone and red-brick façades in the leafy neighbourhood.

There is a fenced backyard and parking for one vehicle in front. The house is walking distance from the shopping and restaurants in Victoria Village. A notable feature inside is the chevron-pattern oak floors in the hallway, living and dining rooms. There is a finished basement with full bathroom and shower.

The Agent's Take: Ms. Miller says the location offers the quintessential Westmount sedate lifestyle while also being close to the vibrant, trendy lifestyle on offer in the commercial arteries along Sherbrooke Street and Victoria Avenue.

"It's definitely a very sought-after neighbourhood," Ms. Miller says. "Everything that comes on the market in that area sells very quickly."
