LISTING AGENTS Jeff, Mark, Norah and Paul Oulahen, Re/Max Realtron Realty Inc.

The Action: In a residential community home to the Peanut Plaza, Fairview Mall and Don Mills subway station, this detached residence was virtually off limits to the owners with buyers clamouring through its doors as soon as it was listed. Offers were accepted at any time, so six buyers promptly presented their highest price within 24 hours.

What They Got: Over the past decade, this five-bedroom residence took on a different appearance, beginning with a new roof, eavestroughs, deck and driveway to an attached garage on the 60-by-100-foot lot.

More recently, the largest of three bathrooms was professionally remodelled and about $20,000 was spent opening up and customizing the kitchen with cork floors, granite counters and stainless steel appliances.

Hardwood floors were installed throughout, including a lower-level recreation room with a gas fireplace, a main-floor den, fireside living room and separate dining area, which also features rear sliding doors.

The Agent's Take: "It's a big house with lots of privacy," agent Mark Oulahen said. "It's a common house in the area, but because of what [the sellers] had done, it changed the house dramatically."

The proximity to amenities was also a highlight. "It's on a good street near good schools," Mr. Oulahen states. "And it backs onto a school."
