LISTING AGENTS Nancy, Elden and Daniel Freeman, Freeman Real Estate

The Action: This semi-detached triplex had over 100 interested buyers, including ten who turned into rivals in competition for the property.

What They Got: This three-storey Victorian near Christie Pits Park is over a century-old, but was modernized with an updated porch and a refurbished brick façade that encases three apartments, each with laundry machines and renovated kitchens with fridges and stoves.

Ceilings are over nine-feet high in the main floor unit, which was arranged with an open living and dining space, one bathroom and two bedrooms, including one with a walkout to a deck.

The basement apartment was remodeled with an open entertaining space, one bedroom and one bathroom.

The seller occupied the two-storey unit that features decks off the combined living and dining area and rear bedroom on the second floor, as well as a third deck and second full bathroom in the master suite on the third floor.

Two-car parking is available off a laneway at the back of the 21 by 110 foot lot.

The Agent's Take: "It's Victorian, which makes it more of interest to people because it has the higher ceilings and the Victorian look," says agent Elden Freeman, who sold this property for the last three owners. "Many of the original details were still intact … [but]it had a lot of upgrades too."

The grand property also suited shoppers looking for space to both reside in and rent out. "It provided the buyer with an affordable option to move into … a nice apartment that is the size of a typical three-bedroom house and still derive some income," says Mr. Freeman. "[Plus]t's well situated close to Bloor Street, so it was close to the subway."
