Agent Carol Lome expected a flurry of activity over this stately, red brick Edwardian on a 50-by-135-foot lot, so she allocated a week for showings and open house events in late February.

“We had over 25 showings in the first 48 hours, and … easily 75 people through that house over the weekend,” said Ms. Lome, who received multiple offers, which was an uncommon occurrence, “in this price range. But, it was a very good house.”

This early 20th-century home underwent major renovations about 10 years ago and was transformed internally into a contemporary-styled, 5,065-square-foot space with several walkouts to a private backyard.

A rooftop deck situated off a third-floor loft was created atop a rear addition housing a lavish master bedroom and a second entertaining area on the main floor. Both areas feature gas fireplaces. The master was also given a large dressing room and bathing quarters.

The updated kitchen has a walk-in pantry and access to casual and formal dining areas. There are heated floors in the recreation area and two guest rooms in the 1,425-square-foot lower level.

“For a renovation that was ten years old, this was quite timeless,” Ms. Lome said.

“The principal rooms were large, the kitchen was family sized – you had a big island and a full breakfast room – then you have a sunken family room that went across the back of the house all with glass, so it was spectacular.”

Compared to smaller infill homes nearby, this property also delivers countless extras, from six-car parking to eight bathrooms. “There are four bedrooms with ensuites – that’s typical of new builds, but not a renovation,” Ms. Lome said.
