The action: Bedford Park had a handful of ownership opportunities in early May, mostly on 25-foot to 35-foot lots. This detached house with an extra eight feet of frontage was quickly pursued by three buyers.

What they got: Down the street from Woburn Park, this four-bedroom house has some grande features, such as a double door entrance, spiral staircase and gas fireplaces in two entertaining areas on the main floor. One of those spaces also includes a walkout to the south-facing garden.

Also on the main floor is a private office and separate kitchen and dining areas. The lower-level recreation room is outfitted with a kitchenette, a guest bedroom, sauna and two of the house’s six bathrooms.

The agent’s take: “It’s about a 20-year-old house, so the value was much better than some of the brand new homes in that Avenue Road/Lawrence enclave,” Ms. Davis said. “The lot is 43 1/2-by-127 feet with a double garage, which was a big feature, and the room sizes were excellent.”

This home is also in a coveted spot in the city. “It’s a very popular for children [because of proximity to] schools, and you can walk to Bathurst and Lawrence, Yonge and Lawrence and Avenue and Lawrence.”
