LISTING AGENTS Jill Stewart and Rob LePage, Royal LePage Real Estate Services Ltd.

The Action: Just a few steps north of Bloor Street in the Kingsway, this two-storey house on a 40- by 114-foot lot entertained over two dozen buyers with booked appointments and more than three dozen at two public open houses. Two offers were submitted on the day the sellers set aside for reviewing any bids.

What They Got: In the early 1980s, this brick, stucco and plaster-clad house was uniquely laid out with a grand foyer that had a short flight of stairs to a living room with a wood burning fireplace and a winding staircase to the four second floor bedrooms and a lower level bedroom and fireside recreation room with a walkout.

The Agent's Take: "It's a large house with over 3,000 square feet and an attached double garage, which is a little unusual for the area," agent Jill Stewart said. "And it's a great house for entertaining."

While some buyers had misgivings about living near the subway line, others like the seller felt it was hardly noticeable. "The big bonus is that it's in the Kingsway and it's walking distance to Old Mill or Royal York subway, the Humber Valley trails and shops," Ms. Stewart added.
