The Action: When this freehold brownstone was purchased five years ago, it was the last vacancy on a short cul-de-sac in Queen West Village. So demand was expected to be high when it was listed this summer and offers were to be held off until one week of market exposure. But two strong offers were presented early and the weekend open houses were cancelled.

The Agent's Take: "They are huge brownstone with two-car parking and over 2,400-square-feet, and it's on a cul-de-sac, so there's no traffic, and it's literally two blocks from Queen Street," agent Mary Jo Vradis said.
"You don't get much more central than this, and it's pretty rare to find something of this size in such good shape with two-car parking."
The fact the interiors were essentially gutted was also a major attraction for buyers. "[The seller] paid attention to the details, so he probably did more than he needed to in a lot of cases," adds Ms. Vradis.
