915 KING ST. W., NO. 202, TORONTO

TAXES $2,243 (2013)

LISTING AGENTS Jenelle Cameron, Laura Golbeck and Miranda Mckenna, Re/Max Hallmark Realty Ltd.

The Action: In March, countless condominium suites were listed for sale along the King West corridor. But in the coveted Massey Harris Lofts, it's rare for units to become available, so this one-bedroom-plus-den loft netted an offer in just five days after more than two dozen showings were conducted.

What They Got: A brick midrise first housing the Massey Harris' farm equipment manufacturing company in 1899 now encompasses residential lofts of varying shapes and sizes, such as this second-floor suite with 13 1/2-foot ceilings, original brick and wood finishes and grand windows with arched, leaded glass transoms.

In recent years, the seller added hardwood floors throughout, built-in storage in areas, such as the den off the hall, and updated the four-piece bathroom and kitchen with stainless steel appliances.

Sliding doors and a frosted glass partition wall separate the bedroom off the open living area.

Monthly fees are $472, which includes water and heating costs, plus $26 for a private garage nearby.

The Agent's Take: "It's a heritage loft building and every unit is completely different, which makes it unique, and this particular unit has 13 1/2-foot ceilings – as most of them do – lots of exposed brick and wood beams, which is unusual, so it's quite a beautiful space," says agent Jenelle Cameron.

"The best thing about his unit is the light and windows. There are practically floor-to-ceiling windows, they're completely unique."

Practical features were also favourable. "It's not a large unit – it's about 600 square feet – so to be able to add storage, shelving and bookcases throughout is fantastic, especially with the ceiling heights," Ms. Cameron said.

"Another cool feature of this particular unit is that it comes with its own garage – not underground parking – which is across the street in part of a townhouse complex there."
