The action

More than 20 parties went through the townhouse in the week it was on the market. Potential buyers, listing agent Owen Bigland says, were mostly singles and couples looking for a well-maintained strata close to shops and transit.

The bright unit has two entrances, private patio, in-suite laundry, secure parking and storage locker.

The agent’s take

Because the building limits rentals, this turned away investors, Mr. Bigland says. But it sold at asking price because people who wanted to live in the unit saw the value of the desirable West Side neighbourhood.

What they got

The open-concept, one-bedroom townhouse is small, at 660 square feet. Located on a quiet street in Fairview Slopes, it is steps to West Broadway shopping and not far from Granville Island. The bright unit has two entrances, private patio, in-suite laundry, secure parking and storage locker. The building, built in 1981, has been partly rain-screened. The unit has been updated with laminate floors and newer carpet. It has a walkability score of 97.
