The Action: Listing agent Corina Marin held open houses over one weekend as well as several private showings. Interested buyers included a mix of investors from China and local people downsizing from large houses. A local couple downsizing from a big west side home purchased the property. "They were looking for a one-level unit with a view and neighbourhood conveniences," Ms. Marin said.

The Agent's Take: "I assisted the seller in purchasing this two-bedroom-and-den suite, brand new, back in 2006," Ms. Marin, who lives in the area, said. "This type of waterfront property is always in high demand, especially in the desirable Beach Crescent neighbourhood of Yaletown."
