Firdaus Kharas is a television and film producer and internationally-renowned humanitarian, whose unique approach to education and public service has taken him to more than 130 countries.

Mr. Kharas tells the story of malaria with cartoon mosquitoes, donned in accessories and printed swimsuits, sunning themselves in the animated short series, Buzz and Bite, part of a malaria prevention campaign that teaches prevention and treatment methods, and encourages people in non-malaria prevalent countries to donate mosquito netting.

His stylized cartoons carry a hefty message, lauded internationally by the likes of, among others, Nobel Laureate Archbishop Desmond Tutu, who praised Mr. Kharas's films for educating and encouraging people to alter their bad habits.

In his travels, Mr. Kharas has conducted field research with child rights activists, torture victims and doctors coping with epidemics to create public service announcements about global issues.

Mr. Kharas's latest project is an animated campaign to prevent domestic violence, targeted directly at the abuser, entitled No Excuses.
