Hong Kong fast-food chain Cafe de Coral Holdings Ltd. said yesterday it has completed a $32.5-million deal to set up a joint venture to buy the 195-outlet Manchu Wok fast-food outlets from Laidlaw Inc. of Burlington, Ont. Cafe de Coral and partner Ken Fowler Enterprises Ltd. of St. Catharines, Ont., will each hold 47.765 per cent of the venture and Manchu Wok's management will keep the rest. Cafe de Coral said it will invest $4.36-million in the project, and the entire transaction is worth $32.5-million, but it did not give further financial details. Manchu Wok, with total sales of $122-million has 74 stores in Canada, 199 in the United States and two in Poland.
