A Mallard duck covered with thick Canadian oil sands crude from an Exxon pipeline that ruptured Friday flooding backyards and neighbourhood streets in Mayflower, a small town just north of Little Rock, Arkansas, was among dozens of birds being treated by volunteers working around the clock at a nearby animal rescue centre.
