DailyMail.com, the most-read English-language news site, is partnering with daytime TV talk-show host Dr. Phil McGraw for an online video series.

The venture, called DailyMail TV, will be based at the Daily Mail's New York office with anchors and studios also in London, Los Angeles and Sydney, McGraw said at a news conference on Thursday at the annual Cannes Lions advertising awards festival.

"We're looking to reinvent TV, to tell stories on the TV and connect with viewers," Martin Clarke, the publisher and editor-in-chief of DailyMail.com, said at a preview of DailyMail TV, which will feature showbiz news as well as sports and hard news coverage.

Owned by London-based Daily Mail and General Trust Plc, the Daily Mail newspaper has featured prominently at the Cannes Lions festival this week, announcing on June 23 a marketing agency in conjunction with the world's largest advertising company, WPP Plc, and Snapchat Inc. It's also hosted parties featuring celebrities including such as Kim Kardashian, Piers Morgan and Kris Jenner.

Daily Mail TV has not yet been offered to the TV market and will be shopped around from August this year, McGraw said. Daily Mail TV will be executive-produced by him, Carla Pennington and Jay McGraw, who have worked on TV shows "The Doctors" and "Dr. Phil."

DailyMail.com has 225 million unique visitors a month, with 75 million coming from the U.S., according to the company.
