One of the world’s most admired investors says the place to be right now is in rocks and oil. Jeremy Grantham argues in a recent paper that the world will run short of many raw materials in the decades ahead. He and his colleague, Lucas White, assert that shares of miners and energy companies offer a safe way to profit from the coming shortages, especially since resource stocks are now out of favour and unusually cheap.
