VP of Small Business Solutions at TELUS
With 20 years at TELUS, Suzanne Trusdale has excelled in various senior leadership roles. Suzanne currently leads the TELUS Small Business Solutions team. With a focus on putting customers first, Suzanne brings together more than 100 team members to drive sales and marketing functions across TELUS and TELUS International (Philippines & Europe) to meet the needs of Small Businesses in Canada. Suzanne is known for strong leadership, with highly engaged teams. In 2011, Suzanne won the CHLOE (Connections Honours Leaders of Excellence) Award for Leadership Excellence. She currently mentors 8 high potential leaders across the country.
Suzanne has a powerful and ongoing commitment to give back to the community. She has supported the BC Children's Hospital for 9 years, contributing to their ongoing successful fundraising drives. She has been heavily involved in the Princess Margaret Weekend to End Women's Cancers and Free the Children. She is the National co-chair for Connections, the TELUS women's network to support the professional development of women at TELUS to empower them, inspire success and celebrate diversity. She is currently a dedicated board member of the Toronto TELUS Community Board.
Suzanne is deeply rooted in the small business culture. Prior to joining TELUS, Suzanne was a small business owner with a dynamic restaurant and catering company in Ontario. She is actively involved as a judge in the annual $100,000 Small Business Challenge in partnership with The Globe and Mail, an annual contest where TELUS awards a $100,000 business grant and other prizing to assist Canadian Small Businesses. Her entrepreneurial spirit fuels her passion to support the small business community.
