How to balance profession with business Add to ...

Pick and choose You can’t shut out the reality that you’re running a business. Prioritize projects that are most important to you and schedule time to work on them so your creative outlet is satisfied.

Hire for what’s not your forte. You wouldn’t ask an accountant to draw up plans for a building, so likewise an architect needn’t be expected to be an expert at filing corporate tax returns.

Be visible and available In taking care of your personal work you risk becoming just the figure head of the company. Have a process for regularly checking in with clients and staff.

Communicate regularly Have regular meetings with the team to keep them aligned to your vision and objectives for the company and at the same time keep yourself abreast of the projects and marketing activities.
