Mom Inc. authors and mompreneurs Danielle Botterell, left, and Amy Ballon, and their children.

How to juggle work and family: A growing number of women are becoming "mompreneurs," starting up their own businesses to give them more flexibility and availability to be with their children.

How do you decide whether it's the right move for you? How do you go about it? What are the ups and the downs? The tips?

Mompreneurs Amy Ballon and Danielle Botterell answer these and other questions in their new book, Mom Inc., which draws on their own experiences and those of other moms who have gone into business for themselves.

Ms. Ballon and Ms. Botterell are the co-founders of Admiral Road Designs, a personalized baby blanket business based in Toronto. Before setting up the company, Ms. Ballon worked as a strategic management consultant and Ms. Botterell worked in investor relations and corporate communications.

They were online to answer your questions about being a mompreneur. You can read an excerpt from their book here.
