Earlier this year, Christiane Bergevin was much touted as a candidate to run the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec - but the CEO job at the troubled pension fund manager went instead to Michael Sabia. Now Ms. Bergevin, 47, is moving on herself, leaving engineering giant SNC-Lavalin Group Inc. for a senior job in financial services with the Desjardins Group. Effective Aug. 17, she becomes executive vice-president, strategic partnerships, in the office of the Desjardins president. In 19 years at SNC-Lavalin, she held a number of senior jobs, most recently senior vice-president and general manager, corporate projects.
