CIBC World Markets ramped up the services it offers to energy-related corporate clients on Tuesday by hiring Douglas Jones away from RBC Dominion Securities.

Mr. Jones is joining what's known as CIBC's "corporate solutions group," a team that offers currency, interest rate and commodity risk management services to companies. He will be an executive director on this team, with specific responsibility for clients' interest rate and energy risk management. Mr. Jones has 15 years of experience in credit, energy and currency markets.

Part of the mandate on this job is to improve coverage of small to mid-sized business, where recent surveys show CIBC lags rival banks.
