In July, Lydall completed its acquisition of Texel Technical Materials, strengthening its position as a provider of filtration and engineered materials. The deal wove together a large U.S. firm producing specialty engineering products with a much smaller firm from French Canada that began by making blankets.
The industries Texel serves supplemented Lydall's focus in filtration/separation engineered materials, making Texel and Lydall an exceptional strategic fit. Two of the counsel who manufactured the deal describe how it came together over a series of meetings – including in a Salzburg hotel overlooking the city.
