After a 22-year run, Salman Partners Inc. is getting out of the brokerage business. The Vancouver-based independent says it will cease operations as of February, 2016.

“It’s been an emotional couple of days,” Terry Salman, founder and chief executive officer of Salman Partners, said in an interview.

“The costs of doing business are rising, and revenues as a result of the decline in the commodity prices have not been there, and it’s affecting everybody.”
