Urbanfund Corp. announced that it plans to buy up to half of a 550-unit apartment building near downtown Toronto for $35-million. The Markham, Ont.-based company said yesterday it hopes to acquire the building in partnership with Toronto-based Westdale Construction Co. Ltd., Urbanfund's largest shareholder.
